Observing river Thames through the eyes of Monet

Claude-Oscar Monet was a French painter considered one of the founders of French Impressionism and certainly the movement’s most consistent and prolific.  After moving to London in 1870 CE to escape the Franco-Prussian war that haunted the continent, he spent many months in the English capital, capturing on canvas moments and emotions from that period of significant industrial development. Monet used to wander along the Thames to discover views and vantage points that ended up becoming the subject of incredible masterpieces. So let’s retrace these precious sights and relive 19th-century London through Monet’s eyes.
